Where You Lead

Where You Lead
Words and music by Jason Teoh@2004

Jesus You are
First above all
Above all things
I want to be
Close to Your heart
Within Your hands

When my world breaks apart
All has failed
I will lift my voice
I will sing to You
I will sing

Chorus:
God You are my God
And I will have no other
Where You lead
I must go
Where You walk
I will follow
With all of my days
Lord I will worship
Worship You my King

This is a song that I wrote a few months ago. It wasn't an easy song to write. I had begun working on it quite sometime ago after a CF meeting during the happier times . I changed the chorus completely in one night after struggling with some events that I just didn't understand, and i needed to really stretch my weak faith..it isn't an easy song. I just needed to say,'God, I don't know or understand what's going on...but I wanna say, I'm gonna stick to it and persue You in spite of my ordeal. God You are great and You are all that I have when all is gone'. And i'm still hanging on to that.

Just a day after beginning to open up and publish this personal blog, people have begun conveying messages of relief that I have seemed to find my sense. I just wanted to say, the pain is still there, the grief is still real, the lost is still felt, the tears still come, when i lay on my bed, I remember all that I had allowed to past. The hatred and bitterness still bites, the love still cuts..to fully express it here is inadequate...for those who had seen me at my worst..don't be quick to assume my comfort had come easy..it hasn't. As I told Justin, that the snipets of pain are still embeded in my heart...and there forever it shall remain...

I thank God for my friends who had been there to carry me when I was down. God, teach me to do the same for any of you.
My friends, this are snippets of my life. I am sure many of us go through very dark moments...just like me..hang in there. God Bless.

ps. Although we all take a good laugh at Deric at times, i really respect him and appreciate him. =).
