Unplug session

The past couple of days have been a good couple of days...hopefully the dark clouds don't come back.

Today evening my band PG 165 had our first unplug session in campus for the SPARC's BBQ night in front of MMU's main hall..we arrived there around 7 something with the sky threatening to pour down. It was a good thing we didn't have it in the field, which was the initial place. The space under the SRC room, in front of the main hall was nice and cozy...with me and Justin on accoustics and ZX using an accoustic guitar for bass, bonggos for VJ and keyboards for Deric..with a minimum PA system, we were ready to go.....

The food was ok..chicken a bit salty.

I think it's our first unplug as a band, our first unplug outside the walls of the church and CF...I really enjoyed myself. The place was initially packed with people lining up to collect their food, so the place was generally noisy. But after the crowd became smaller, we had a more appreciative and attentive audience whom we interacted, cracked jokes, and answered song demands when we could...with the people supporting and encouraging us througout our session. I found the experience awesome..
I really thank Justyne for giving us the chance to gain this experience.

Our song list comprised of stuff like Unwell(MBox20), You and Me(lifehouse), Be with you(mr big), Spin(lifehouse),Time of Your Life(Greenday), Wherever You will Go(The Calling), Love Song for a Savior(JOC), Dare You to Move(Swfoot) etc...
i think the Mr. Big song was a hit..we shared singing duties but Justin was the main vocals for this session..with vj in a couple of songs..

haha, someone actually asked us to play American Idiot and stuff,,haha..i had to say,,we din practice and smiled..Justin made up a song and sang it to the tune of Michelle Branches' Goodbye to You..a song about sausages..

Vijay wowed the crowd when he crooned Mr Big's song and The Scientist(COLDPLAY)..that guy can sing, when he wasn't playin the bonggo..bangga lar the fella..

Anyway, I wanna thank all those who came and supported us..ppl like Joash, becca, seong, billy, lionel, laura, crystal, and many others i din mention here. thanks a lot...thank you andrew liu for lending us your yamaha accoustic and Laney amp...and special thanks to Wayne, for being an awesome help to us, by bein there, carrying our stuff, helpin us...thanks dude.

the only regret was...i din bring my digi cam....stuuupid me..=( hope i can get some photos frm those who snapped...

Thank God.

ps..if i was a doorpost, i would want my door to be orange..
