We celebrated Brothers and Sisters Appreciation Day, or BSAD in CF yesterday. This is the day when the guys will appreciate the girls and the girls will/suppose to do likewise...sometimes their terms of 'appreciation' differs greatly from the guys.
This year, the guys were pretty straigtforward in telling the girls how much we needed them in our lives..This included a sketch on what it would look like without girls in this world...Imagine guys giving birth...WHAT?
Justin, Joash, Seong, Jonathan and Lyod did a very sporting lip sync/dance of Backstreet boys...just for the fun of it...man. we really hate boy bands...so it made it look so super funny man...and they did two songs....hahahaa
in another sketch, vijay acted as a girl...hope that's not his dream. =D
Mark's group read out a very meaningful poem with the girls' names inside.
Samuel's group composed a song for them..
In addition to all that, the guys made plastersin flowers for the girls.
But...this year, i have to give it up for the girls....hats off for them.
They stuffed us all in the storeroom while they planned some torturous ritual...probably gonna eat a bug, wasabe or get our hair messed up...when we were asked to come out, we were invited to wait in a 'waiting lounge' they made for us. They fed us ice cream while we waited our turn to be subject to whatever toture they had in store for us which was hidden from us by a huge cloth dividing the YAC into two compartments....when it was my turn to cross over, it was a sight to behold....the girls were giving the guys a massage on our palms...with some expensive lotion.
I mean i felt really awkward lar...some more I kena Rebecca...hahaha...i mean, this is like whoa...special treatment. It was like there were about 10 to 12 girls and each had an empty chair in front of them...and we were directed to sit and face them while they treated our hands for a massage. I saw Carina massage Justyne's huge hands...kinda hillarious...i was kinds speechless and tense lar...not used to being treated so special...har har har.
But it was a real, real treat....thanks a lot girls...and the girl who taught the massage was Grace Goh... i think they were 'servicing' our hands so that we could protect them more in future.
but some of the guys not shy...coz they went two or three rounds of massage...
but last night i slept with very smooth hands...like if played a guitar solo...can play faster..hahaha
Sigh...was suppose to play for audition just now for the Impressions prom....but the audition was postponed at the eleventh hour...kinda cut steam because we were so ready for it.
The week looks like it's gonna get better from here.
Mark and his group presented this poem, dedicated to the awesome ladies in our CF
Lord, give me a poem for my sister so dear,
Something sweet & neat to take away her fear.
A song or a rhyme to take the blues away,
To remind her she's special no matter what people say.
So, here it goes:
Sister Allison is like a flower, a rose to be exact,
Sister Apple is like an angel, I know that for a fact.
Sister Belle is like an owl, both beautiful and wise,
And Sister Carina is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.
Sister Catherine is like the sunshine, that makes a perfect day,
Sister Cheryl is like a rainbow, which takes the rain away.
Sister CP is like a treasure, with which one will not part,
And Sister Dayze is like a necklace, always worn close to the heart.
Sister Grace is like an eraser, there to correct your mistakes,
Sister Hui Yin is like cereal, they're more than good, they're great!
Sister Jasmyn is like an umbrella, sheltering you from the storm,
And Sister Jessica is like a blanket that keeps you safe and warm.
Sister Rebecca is like a little kitten, always a pretty sight,Sister Renee is like a star, shining through your darkest night.
Sister Sandra is like milk, for milk helps us grow,
And Sister Sharon is like a candle that keeps the room aglow.
Sister Shih Wen is like ice-cream, soft, dreamy and sweet,
Sister Sin Yee is like cake and brownies, what a wonderful treat!
Sister Stefanie is like the blue skies, shining brightly and vast,
And Sister Su Be is like a pillar, holding you up strong and steadfast.
Sister Win Nee is like diamonds, precious and rare,
Sister Zhong Hui like the gentle wind, you know she's always there.
Our sisters are like angels, who brighten our days,
In all kinds of wonderful, magical ways.
Their thoughtfulness comes, as a gift from above.
And we feel we're surrounded, by warm, caring love.
Like upside-down rainbows, their smiles bring the sun.
And they fill ho-hum moments, with laughter and fun.
Sisters are like angels, without any wings.
Blessing our lives, with the most precious things.
~To all sisters, names mentioned and unmentioned. Your presence in ourlives has made us change. Thanks.~
