I was at the annual musical play performed by MMU CF Melaka at the campus main hall last night. I applaud them for a job well done. The chemisty between the leads was sizzling hot and Joash and Wayne stole the show, showcasing their wealth of experience and talent gained from all the pruning and acting in past productions all these years.
Today at work I was counting, it's been almost 5 years since NOC 2: Whispers of Hope.
It's sweet memory, as the scenes and practice sessions remain as vivid as ever. Yet after all these years, I keep asking myself if I had done enough, or invested enough into the lives of my friends throughout the duration of that production. Did I give people enough chances, did I encourage people enough, did it make a difference in their lives?
I wasn't the most charistmatic of directors, I definitely did not ooze confidence. But i guess my lack of eloquence gave God more room to work.
I know one thing's for sure, I had the best team on board with me. And the people involved have become closest of friends up till they graduated.
Haha...I didn't planned in posting any pictures but i found the cd stashed somewhere in my drawer...huhu...
This is a tribute to those who had gone ahead of us and worked hard, prayed and paved the way for future productions...

The Director's opening speech...it's the most nerve wrecking experience for us...

Can you spot some familiar faces???

Full technicolour, all singing and dancing...

Lighting plays an important part in dictating the mood...

Rebecca Lee belting her heart out...

Pulling the heart strings of the audience...

The Music Corner which has been the main stay for every production.

Main Cast. Thank you Mark for your friendship.

Damn, we all look like kids... =P

Relationships are built during the whole period of production, it made us stronger in a way.
Well, the pioneers have all but graduated, passing the baton to the next generation of CF-ers.
I always believed it was left in good hands. I guess we'll never know if we had done enough to reach out or to nurture those around us.
But from what I saw yesterday, I'm sure the message of Christmas will continue to be told in awesome creative stories accompanied by good smashing music.
Kudos ACT...keep up the good work. Plant the seeds of encouragement to the younger ones.
Bravo...
