You know that it's kinda dangerous to blog about stuff when you're really pissed off about something because there's a tendency to say something that you will regret later. Well, I meant what i wrote and said and I'm leaving that as an honest journal of my topsy turvy life.
Well, I kinda wanted to go to this IF camp coz i knew that if i had been stubborn and stayed at home to rot, i would have regretted it. Just kinda knew so I made it a point to go to this camp. But I messed up my schedule because i had to see my lecturer to confirm my CV for industrial training and hadn't done that. Exams finished on Thurs, so i wanted to see him on Friday but found out that it was Melaka City Day, a public hol. And my lecturer won't be in during the weekend. And i was suppose to leave for camp on Sunday night. SO I was like, " *&%,,,what a great way to start my holidays"...so as the gang travelled to Penang on Sunday night with all the fun of chartering the whole bus, i was at home watching I Robot and Euro Trip...I managed to see my lecturer on Monday, bought a lone ticket to Penang and travelled the night alone to the campsite in Batu Feringgi...thus, i was the latest camper to reach...one day late.
Just a Summary of IF Camp( 18-21 April)
WUSS GANG
I missed one session about the usual BGR talk since i arrived one day late, Wee Liem said it was like an overdose of sex education. The following session was dealing with our sins, our past and the conseqenses which ended in a lot of people being ministered and prayed for, two people accepted Chirst(if i am not mistaken). Apart from the sessions, we had the usual menu of crazy games in the hot baking sun, running around, sweating, smelling and roasting.

All these stuff are the usual camp stuff....
But what i wanna blog here is how i felt about the whole issue of finally being in the last year of Uni. I looked around and saw many final year students who are my batch and will be graduating next academic year...that's kinda fast.

some of us aren't prepared to make that jump. I am anticipating a very teary camp next year. It won't be someone else's goodbye...it will be mine, and that's something my other junior friends won't be able to experience....the sadness of leaving some friends coz don't know when we will see each other once we start working...I was already missing some amazing seniors who had graduated...who had touched my life in one way or another....

Basically this years IF camp was different then last year's for me due to the circrumstances that surrounded me last year.

I had a good camp, I met up with some old friends and actually talked to them more...people like Esther, Leng Ching, Lenard, Michelle, Joshua, Kae Eee...and some others...basically i made a lot of friends last semster...like Billy and Lionel...Time passed really quick in camp...time passed really quickly in my life...
Penang (21 - 24 April)
After camp, 10(my gang) of us stayed back in Penang in Belle's house. Me, Billy, Dayze, Aaron, Wayne, Apple, Zhen Xin, Stefanie Goh, Lionel, and Catherine. We crammed like sardines. Basically i can describe Penang based on a few observations:
1) Superior food...endless food. we ate and ate and ate for the sake of testing every dish. We ate all kinds of stuff, like some gluttons. I think Penang has good food.
2) Tall beautiful girls who speak Hokkien.
3) Many secondary school girls with super short hair above their shoulders...apparently that's the ruling...well at least in Chinese schools
4) Secondary school boys wearing shorts as their uniform....lots of them...in other states, well at least in melaka, It's an unwritten rule that once you are a form 1 student...wearing shorts as your uniform is a taboo and will be persecuted by the cooler people who have switched to the long suave green pants...
Outside Belle's house
we shopped in Prangi mall where i bought a pair of PEPSI skate shoes...and walked around Gurney Plaza. We visited Gurney Drive on the last night. We watched horror flicks "Shutter" and " The Eye 10" in Belle's home theater for the past two nights. We stayed in Belle's apartment for 4 days 3 nights.

I got closer to some people...mayb perhaps because I'm not in the committee anymore and have more time to sit and hang out with the rest. Although Belle had been my assistant back in the Melaka CF committee...didn't really get a chance to know her better that I could mentor her or something...however I sought of got to know her better in Penang,,,mayb because i kacau her more. And also talked more to Stefanie Goh...I mean these are people around CF that are out of my usual circle of friends(since most of them were in the CF planning retreat)...and i kinda enjoyed hanging out with them...Lionel, Dayze, Wayne, Aaron...
Genting, KL and here at my PC (24 - 26 April)
Seong, Vincent, Billy, Lionel, Edmund, Apple, Cat, Renee, and Stef made a trip to Genting to play the rides...we visited the Ripley's Believe it or Not...some of them stayed for one night, then they went home, but Seong, Billy, Vincent and me stayed another night(free room).

We stopped at KL to buy my new CPU...finally an upgrade...thanks billy for helping me find the specs and bargaining for me...appreciate that a lot..
sigh...don't wanna yack too much,,,kinda tired...
but i enjoyed the friendship and the fellowship of these few crazy nuts...but spent a lot...
wanna use my holidays wisely...gonna work..haha..
