There I was, easing off the day in the office as the clock ticked it's slow hands in the region of 6.15pm. I was busy engaging in light banter with my colleague sitting across me behind the partitioning. Our plan was to milk our company as much as we could on the different (and expensive) training modules they were offering.

My other mates musing around their workstations exchanging banter. 3 of them were discussing some customer complain return sample (yeah, it's semicon baby).

when suddenly one of the group discussion broke up and stood to their feet...

"eh...err...the building is shaking....'

With that I got up on my feet and stood still...

a sick nauseating feeling slowly crept up my inwards as i felt my legs sway from side to side making me slightly dizzy...very peculiar indeed...never felt it in my entire life in Malaysia...so this is how it felt like.

Then we realised it was better we left the building.

We thought we were kidding ourselves as we stood by the window near the stairs (didn't want to look like fools running out if we weren't sure...could all be in the head see, like we could have been imagining it or something). But our fears were confirmed as scores of production people, operators, technicians and engineers poured out onto the car park. Strangely no evacuation bell was ringing.

Well to cut it short, we all returned to our normal semblance of life when nothing extraordinary followed.

So there we have it...I felt my first earthquake...tremor.

May God have mercy on those caught in it's wrath...
