It's All About Love

Hey Hey!!! I think this year, I've posted the least blog posts compared to the previous years...unlike Andrew Liu the Laney Man who seems to be churning out as many posts (accompanied with less than decent photos of poor unsuspecting individuals) as his smart alec witty mouth can in a week. Hehe...

Hmm, I was wondering why so. Could it be my life has been so uneventful that there's simply nothing to share? Or could it be that my life's moving at such break-neck-speed that I simply don't have a breather to write something worthwhile? Mayb there's so much great stuff happening that penning them down seems to take the shine and gloss out of it. Or maybe I'm just gloriously lazy...

Haha...i think it's somewhere in between. :)

LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!!






Love can be found in the most unusual places :)

As I mingle around like the unassuming guy I am, with ears uncannily open and eyes observing the very people close to me...I realised something...

Hey, I'm already 2# years old and so are my friends...
and some of them have already started to make plans of a different kind...

The ones that include a party, a cake, a ring, a live band, and maybe booze. The night ends with two people consumating their loveeee.... catch the drift? LOL.

One of my friends has already started laying down a payment scheme for a house with a clear intention of him and his girlfriend settling down in the near future...

Another friend talks about what kind of dogs she plans to get with her sweetheart once they get a place of their own.

Another friend keeps making trips up to another state to meet the parents for the umpteenth time. Sudah berapa kali mau jumpa??? huhuhu...

Some of our seniors in the region of slightly pass mid-20's have already crossed that line of matrimony. Now it's fallen to my circle of friends. We're all now guessing among ourselves which couple will be the next as we near that age group.

My good friend and ex-CF president has been with his sweetheart since the time when cars were scarce. (Nowadays evryone seems to have a car in CF...last time we only had the van and our legs). He used to go dating 'rempit' style with his Yamaha 125Z. When his gf left to Cyber and he stayed back in Melaka...they still maintained the status quo right till they graduated. It's just a matter of time when we'll all be getting invitation cards. Hee hee hee...

What I'm getting at is once people reach their mid-20's they tend to be a little bit more focused on the matrimony part. Suddenly people don't change bfs/gfs as often like they used to in freshman year. Dating is no more just for the curiosity and fun and being 'exclusive' isn't regarded as a status symbol anymore...you know, I watch people and they seem to switch bfs/gfs a lot when they're young, naive and in the ALPHA MALE/Queen of Sheeba groove. Like I heard this statement from a guy to another guy which goes:

"Hey A, I think
kissing B must feel like you're kissing me because you're dating my Ex,so technically...we shared the same lips before." *gross*

It's an exaggerated description from me of course...Players will remain players, loyalist will be loyal to one another, Casonavas will be Casanovas...In spite of all this, on the other end of the extreme...there's still those who are still in the realm of singlehood and seem to become more aggressive in their search as they pass the mid-20's. We shall leave that observation for another day. Love is in the air and wedding bells are ringing more often these days...



On a sadder note, farewell Mark. Looks like Penang has claimed another friend from Melaka...huhu...enjoy your new job and the Penang chicks. We managed to have one last pilgrimage to Sunway Lagoon with the rest of the senior gang which included Samuel, Joash, Justin, Deric, Tze Wei, Edmund and myself. We relived the memories when we used to drive up to Sunway Lagoon for the weekend just for the heck of it...and Hartz Chicken Buffet after that...AWESOME...*grin*...
I remember a gesture of kindess from Mark back when I was still riding my Honda EX5 motorcycle in 2003. I was heading towards supper at Rama Ram and had Lu Vin as a pillon rider...it gave me a flat tyre and I was stuck in Bukit Beruang. Mark(one of the first to have a car) gave me a ride home all the way to my house which was 10km away after supper. Thanks dude, I'll never forget that.

Mark has left a legacy as NOC 3 Director but even more as a superbly proficient Children's/Kids minister. Take care, bro. God bless you in your all your future undertakings.

Sorry Charis, maybe I'll do the 6 weird things about myself on another post...i try and make a mental list but I don't seem to keep track of all 6 weird things. hehe...I better write them down.
