The "NO PLAN" plan

I have been wanting to blog about how i celebrated my ushering in of the year 2007. It was a real hectic December, having played my last gig on the 17th, i was kind of in need of a break from the scene and just chill. I'm glad i decided to go for Joshua Chiam's house warming in Subang on the 31st Dec. I wasn't sure i wanted to go at first, ...being my emo and fickle self...no one could teman me coz of d exam period, so i decided to drive up alone.

Having 2 public holidays plus the weekend, i seized the opportunity to get away from the clutter at home and embark on my "no plan" plan...meeting up with Deric, Joshua and Wee Liem

...and just do...nothing...

I have never seen someone use a handphone without buttons...well, this dude actually does...he uses his finger nails to key in the numbers and sms-es...wahhh...

The company was good...the view was even better... =)

I finally got my chance to visit the Guitar Store in Hartamas...I knew the attendant at the store, Fadily and decided to look him up. Well, i liked it more than Bentleys and i finally got my One Spot Adapter, thanks to Alda from Cosmic Funk Express for telling me about it.

Fadily making sure Gim Han don't steal nothing...

Maybe because it was the warm colours...mayb it was because we had nothing to do, no hurry, no rush...mayb it was the precious company i was with...

Managed to meet up wif the Maxis guy with his spunky new hair cut...err...no, this is just a display toilet in IKEA...nothing hanky panky going on here...

We were walking around IKEA and saw all kinds of home designs and stuff, some of them were real cool...like this one...What a nice cosy corner...It's like your own cluttered up space...to hide in...

Oh yea man, it was a chill period.....bestnya...most of my hommies were preparing for their finals in melaka...

visited the mega bookstore "Borders"....wow, a place you can immerse yourself in and read just about anything...heard that they were gonna open a branch in Melaka's new mall...yay...

No kidding...the day was so relaxing, i managed to capture this rather amusing scene in Joshua's house...Datin forcing Gim Han to play snakes and ladders...
Apparently GH never tried playing before and was forced to play... in which he lost and was glad to lose so that he could end it...

I managed to avoid playing this game called Twister...err...well, it isn't really a pleasant game to play. I mean for guys especially...twisting and turning around and under each other and over each other, with stuff sticking out and all...just don't cut it man...more so if you're in a band...hahaha..just kidding...

Joshua trying to teach me the right reaction when spotting a cun chick...errr...no comment...

It was great to have no plans at all and not be in a hurry to go somewhere...

but i guess that's just a "mountain top" experience...a passing thing...the real deal is down in the steep slopes, in the valleys...where we've got to roll up our sleeves to our elbows and work...where the rubber meets the road...where it's tough and dirty and sometimes inconvenient...

i think if we were to live on those moutaintop experiences alone...we'd lose out on a lot of things...we'd fail to become who we're suppose to be.

A beautiful ending...

It's more than a month ago and the feeling of bussiness has crept back. This is my last trimester and i'm excited to be back. Well, i feel like i'm on my toes and up and running at times, with more gigs planned out. Be sure to check out the PG 165 blog.

A lot has happend between there and now. Friendships change and challenged...i actually wrote a song about it. How we need to give each other space and grace...it's a fun song la, not emo ok...vijay keeps pestering me to write faster stuff...okay man, i did it already..lol..

Been working on some new songs, some new material the past few weeks.

Anyway, I had a great start to my 2007. It's a challange to maintain this feeling of optimism. 2007 is definately going to be a good year, a milestone year, a transition year...

I believe it to be...in fact, i can feel it in the air...it's a sense of release and great anticipation...
