I will be leaving for Kudat and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with a mission team from MMU CF Melaka in approximately 17 hours time. I figured I'd like to leave something encouraging for all you readers for a change. I believe a little encouragement goes a long way...

Just about a couple of weeks ago, CF was marking its last meeting of the semester with the Praise and Worship Night session. It's a night revolved around praising and connecting with God through Worship.

I have been involved in every Praise & Worship Night before this ever since i picked up the guitar in CF...and almost every time God was gracious enough to let me see Him move...seeing His presence descend upon the people...amazing...
This year I wasn't involved. I was in the crowd recieving.

It's a trying time for me...the past month has been really packed and I was feeling a bit battered and bruised spiritually and emotionally...doubting, hurting, fearing....so i was just standing there, expecting and wondering if God would speak...if I'd hear anything...then they sang this song.

Now we've sang this song many times...but that night it spoke to me...He spoke to me...and we had a little conversation...

and He said," What do you mean when you sing...Jesus I believe in You?"

me: *silent*

"It means when you say and sing you believe in Me, it means complete trust.
Stop doubting...stop worrying...believe in My faithfulness...in what I can do and accomplish. In My plans and My purposes for you...believe in Me...believe in who I AM...I am Everything..."

me: speak to me...

"It means you are Mine...never for a second doubt that. In all your weakness and past failures...you are still Mine. And nothing in time can and will ever change that fact. So stop fearing...You are Mine...there's nothing You can do to earn that...You are Mine...period"

I'm slowly learning to draw my confidence and self worth from Him and Him alone...
everytime i look in the mirror, i tend to see someone so worthless and ugly and unfit for anything...
but that's the beauty of it isn't it? It's not about us...what He did on the cross totally takes our ugliness and unworthiness and trades it for the new mercies and the eternal hope and joy that we can experiece before God everyday...

So if you're reading this and feel discouraged and downcast and doubtful for the future...believe in that person of Jesus Christ. Believe...chose to believe....and draw your self worth and confidence from Him...in all that He did on that cross...He is our source and our reason that we continue living in this difficult world...

Hope you're encouraged...i'm encouraged myself frm writting this...

please pray for me and the MMU CF team as I go to Sabah from the 17 - 26th Oct....we'll be doing some mission work with the Orang Asli church there. Pray for our safety and for God to work through us....so see you all in 10 days time...


It's gonna be a busy busy busy October and November and December...especially for PG 165....oh, how i wish i could live a kitty's life...*grin*...caught kitty sleeping in a flower pot outside my house...
